When I re-released “Through” in 2003 with additional bonus tracks, I had also released a six-song CD sample of “full-band” produced songs. These drum-n-bass influenced recordings captured a unique time period in my life when I was heavily influenced by the music of David Gray and the way he combined a relative techno-like sound with acoustic music. It was innovative, interesting to me, and I wanted to give it a spin. This recording also features James Orvis on percussion/drums on the last track, which also captured a moment in time when I was performing two-man shows with Jim in cafe’s in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
