Feeling somewhat impulsive, I’ll admit that I threw this recording together in a hurry. I had been a bit lackadaisical in writing material and recording my developments, and after having a few interesting improv sessions, I quickly compiled this twelve-song collection of improv acoustic guitar instrumental music and released it to the public with little or no concerted effort. In fact, very few people knew about the release and was only known about via word of mouth or happening to find it through iTunes or some of my authorized distributors. Despite my haste in releasing it so quickly and with little refinement, it’s still an enjoyable album to listen to and is a must for your acoustic instrumental collection.
What probably makes this album unique from all the others is the incorporation of other non-traditional tools in tandem with my acoustic guitar. Still using my Boomerang phrase sampler, I used an octave pedal, ebow, shakers, and even a tennis ball… yes, a tennis ball. All of the sounds you hear on the CD are ALL done through my acoustic guitar and not artificially manipulated on my computer or through other post-production methods.
